The Woman With No Name

My heart is pounding, pounding, pounding;
Through the depths its cry resounding
In the dark the feeble gleaming
Of the soul far past redeeming
Wavers like a candle flame
In the woman with no name

Then my eyes with hooded glances
Brave the light to take their chances
Searching vainly for the shinings
Of elusive silver linings
Trying to escape her shame
Is the woman with no name

May her lifetime goal be gained
Resurrect and end her pain
Ease her guilt for wrongs unspoken
Standards slipped and rules broken
Call her forth and stop the game
Of the woman with no name
